 Ayam Cemani ??? black or blue meet fowl???
hello folks i am looking for some Ayam Cemani chickens... and am not having much luck  hear is the link about them http://feathersite.com/Poultry/CGA/Cema ... emani.html .... i did not think there where any in the USA tell i saw a pic off a half breed hen hear ( http://www.freewebs.com/ogichida/otherbirds.htm ).... i emailed him he said that he was looking for more and did not know where i could get some... but that alot of (Hmong)??? farmers have them but they don't like to part with them  ..... i don't think there are alot of Hmong farmers in Arkansas so idk what to do... anybody have any or know where i can get any??????? also what about the (black meat and bones and even (?) black blood and organs. ) is this possible??? also hear ( http://www.geocities.com/xyoojaviaries/ourfarm.html) (their meat being of a dark blue or black coloration) ????? thanks for your help elias

Hello Elias - I keep Cemani, and they do have black skin, meat and bones. They are eaten in traditional ceremonies in Indonesia. But I am sorry, I can be of no real help to you because I live in the Isle of Man! Here is a pic of one of my birds:  Some do have a silver in the hackle, not because they are crossbred, but because apparently this is the underlying colour of the black.

I had half cemani..but a friend of mine who is a moderator here now has them. Here is a pic of one of the hens. These came from Toni-Marie Astin from GA. Tha hen was all black minus the silver penciling around the neck area.

HHF - it would be good if they laid black eggs!  But sorry they are normal white ones.

*I was able to raise a few cemani this year.. I'll try post a few pic asap* .... thanks im looking for all the info i can get on them.... now if i could just find some birds...  ide like to hatch out maby 50 or so next year.... so far trying to track down birds is like pulling hens teeth

soo are there any other chickens that have blue or black meat??? ive found a few mentions hear and there but all are pretty vague and don't give much info  .... i case y'all haven't figured it out i have a obsession with things that are far out of the ordinary lol.... thanks Elias
