Post joe redmond greys
i recently aquired a pair of joe redmond greys...was concerned about their safety when i first brought them on my yard because i kept them seperate from my other chickens ..in an unfenced area ....so the first night i went out in the middle of the night to check on em...both of them had their heads tucked under their wings,,,lol....i've never seen any of my other chickens do this...do any of you have chickens that roost this way ? a first for me ...lol

Many chickens sleep this way, it's quite normal.

Birds in general do it with possible exception of penguins. Evidence exists that some of the smaller long necked dinos, closest kin to existing birds, potentually did same.
