Post Re: cuban gamefowl
I don't have any pictures available online. I do have one very old print of a winner from 70-80 years back. I'm not sure how much you could tell about him though as Cubans always (in the past) trimmed their battle cocks. Once trimmed all resemblance to anything goes away lol.

As I understand it, Cuban Games were a mixture of Spanish, English and Irish blood like modern day Americans: albeit they were more Spanish Blood than the others. Some strains also had a touch of Oriental Blood.

Al Sanchez could tell you more than anyone else on the Forum. Al could give you strain names and the makeup of those strains. That is, he could correct what I've already written.

You might want to pm Al and ask him to post here. Also check out the wiki too.

Here is a 4 yr old, recently retired/promoted to brood cock. I will see if I don’t take some pics of my recently dubbed stags and post tomorrow GLW.

Rip,

I see Cubans in a wide arrange of colors from blues, greys, reds, white, and everything in between. I think Doc described them very well.

Great looking birds prideandjoy,

the small one is my favorite i can see why your leaving it for genetics.
