Who still breeds them? What is there blood composition? Are they orientals or American gamefowl or cross? Can someone suggest a breeder who sells them?

How deep are your pockets?

There is a lot of junk out there being called "gowdies" and then there are a few realy good birds of that line. You can usualy tell the diferance by the price the owner asks for them. If they ask $100 dollars a bird keep walking... If your willing to pay $1000 or more a bird I might have a number for you. If I decide after talking to you you are worthy and I like you - lol

The gowdies are a "jap" fowl (whatever that means) and are mostly oriental in origin - (see forsith jap).

I very sorry but that is to much when converted into Philippine peso. I cannot afford it. I have great respect with you Americans because almost all of our strain here comes from you. Maybe next time when luck finds its way to me. Thank you for the offer.

The good "japs" have won many trophies and are one of the best breds for crossing on almost any type of game fowl.

Jap Crosses

I've never purchaced any fowl from him - and I don't know anyone else who has. So I have no real experiance with the man or his fowl and would have to assume he is honest and his fowl are what he says they are.

That being said - IN MY OPINION ONLY - they don't look like the pure japs from gowdy I saw shipped in the 80's and do not look like the ones I am familure with today. These look as if they may be carrying some american blood. I like the top black bird on the left as the site is opened, but even he carries his tail at a higher angle than I would expect....
