A freind of min is feeding his birds some kinda of pellet and told me I would have to find out what it is on my own. Its a small red pellet, it looks like a rabbit pellet but its red in color. Can anyone on here help me out?

Did a quick search and found red pigment incorporated into some pelleted feeds to promote intake by chicks. Other feeds have reds / oranges / yellows owing to either feeds enriched with pigments or a large component of pigment rich feedstuff.

Need more info to know what you are lookimg for.

Depends on how many are in the mix if its just a few here and there its probobly calf manna or milk plus .

Hes a great friend, he just wont let me in on his secret. Said he wants me to come up with my own ideas instead of copying him. The guy that taught him what he knows done him the same way!
Its mixed up in the rest of his feed. I beleive he just bought the bag of pellets. They are red and kinda of small. Thats all the info I have!

Sounds like calf manna to Me. Goes for about 10 dollars around here for a five pound bag.
