The Col. Givens Hatch is considered to be the smartest hatch out of them all.

Here is Kenny's website.

Post Re: col. givens hatch
the col.givens hatch looks alot like the sandy hatch.i have the sandy hatch and my buddy has the col.givens. talked to a guy last year at a show and he said that the col, givens carries a lot of lieper blood. we just got these last year so dont know how good they are yet talking about the col.givens.the sandy i got last year from mr.barger who had strong ties to george woods.he got out of the business.i had bought some stuff from him.and still talk to him today.he gave me the trio of sandy hatch i have.he also gave me a roundhead/kelso stag i have done showed twiceand a roundhead/kelso pullet that that i let free range.she hatch 10 out of 12 and still has 8,and is game she got in a fight with a brn red hen i let free range they both have ckicks.the brnred hen will kill other hens chicks.they locked up while i was at workan now the roundhead/kelso hen looks like i trimed her.but thereno quit in her.and i almost got rid of her.ill let you know if the col. givens are any good will know next this spring or next fall

Thanks. The col. givens also has mclean blood in them. Some come out dark like a lieper, light hackle like a mclean, or spangled.

I really like them. One thing I noticed is that it is better to let them mature. They have a better look to them and an outstanding conformation. Really nice birds.

I also have a trio in red color and the pair I posted are my spangles.
