Post thai rooster after fighting (Update pic)
Hi

My brother in law gave to me a thai rooster.
First day , i got him , i put him in the cage in the backyard. But an another rooster flew over the fence and fought with my new thai rooster through the cage.

Now see picture, what can i do for him? he limps from right leg, most the time he stands up on the left leg. he is skinny, no strenght, but he eats and drinks. Before fighting, he looks very good , strong, beautiful.
thanks !

Just give water and food, and time should heal him. As long as he is eating and drinking he should be OK

if he's really skinny you might need to check and see if he has parasites like mites and maybe deworm him as well.

Wire is devastating to legs and feet. I can't tell by the pic where his leg injury is, but low injury is better than high thigh. Sometimes wire will nearly sever the rear toes on the top side. I have used tape to wrap under the toe to keep the cut closed. Use neosporin in the injury. Do not wrap the toe completely up, only from the bottom side and attach upward to hold the toe in place and close the cut. If the leg is broken, you can make 2 splints, like popsickle sticks and wrap with tape, again use neosporin, the leg should heal back. Upper thigh injury is more serious and can kill a rooster, might seek a vet on that.
