 Proud of my dog. Abby, my 2-1/2 year old American Bull is our all around dog. Part pain in the neck, best friend and protector to my wife and kids, never harmed a chicken, and chaser and getter of all other critters.
I always let her out about 10pm to do her business, and make her rounds. Tonight she was at the door early. Went out nose in the air, & in a hurry. I jumped in my boots and grabbed the gun. She ran 2 coons in the barn and was climbing the wall after the big one. I shot him. He hit the ground. Abby went to digging under my workbench. I looked under with my light, the other was under there.
Long story short, Abby & I =2 coons = 0

Re: Proud of my dog. Hahaha Thanks Guys. I'm a decent shot, but give most of the credit to the dog. If she gets to em on the ground I don't need the gun. We've got 5 coons, 2 possum, a skunk, since July. So far the only predators that have succeeded are of the winged variety. Pretty healthy hawk population around here, and they have quite the appetite for pullets!
