Post owls
I want to put birds on cord but in the past I have had issues with owls, they are the only thing I have issues with, I have a secure pen and my shepherd is on the yard all day but not at night any tips for owls

1) Install a very good and strong Great Horned Owl decoy at a prominent location . GHO are territorial and will move on after failing to run off the decoy. Downside, your owl probelm might not always be GHO
2) Install means of controlling an incandescant relatively low wattage white light to flash, casting its light omni-directionally. This deprives him of his night vision assets. Downside, looks like you are too lazy to take down your Christmas lights  Carr can make a flasher if you need, are you good with electrical work?

im pretty sure its a great horned i have seen it land on the top of the coop at night but havent had a loss of a bird since my turkeys starting roosting outside the tom tends to keep it away i will try the light method and the decoy.

Those nightlights do work,I think they are one of the ads for this forum. You need around 4 of them.
