Post Pumpkin Asil
I am new to Asil fowl and have a few questions. I am a huge fan of pumpkin colored birds. So when these came up, I decided to buy them. The man I bought them from stated that one was a Reza, the smaller one, and one was a Radjah. As this is my first experience with Asil, i didn't know what that meant. So here are the pics and let me know what you think. I am also in the need for some hens. If you have any for sale let me know. Thanks.

Well, Zgraham, pictures are rather small, and I am blind as a bat except picking up motion, not making it out, LOL, for my eyes, best picture sized just under 800 pixels works best , and my pictures suck, LOL but I see one or both, that looks to be mostly from the line called Hyderabadi by its originator there. It's good you don't know anything about the names that are used here in the US, IMO, they are mostly bs, but still good for tracking lines. Rajah was a prince in India, once used to suggest the came from the lines of Princes of India's lines (see bs reference above). Rajah Murghs are indeed a line of small South American that were imported from India,(well documented)and imported again into Puerto Rico, where they are breed for the show there.
Enjoy them, not put to much stock in names, and hopefully you will find yourself a Pumpkin hen. Good luck with them

They look nice but no Rajah blood visible to me.

I have a Pumpkin hen I will sell. She's from a Kulang Asil bred to a Reza. She's a good mama, and a good bird. Pm me and we will chat price and shipping.

Thanks for the replies. I would be interested in knowing how to make the pics bigger. I tried downloading from my computer and they were too big. Then I tried downloading from photobucket and they were still too big. The only ones that would download to the forum are the photobucket thumbnails. How do I make the pictures smaller? Thanks again.

If you use Vista or Windows 7, in Pictures, you right click on image, then choose Edit, which opens the photo in Paint, there you resize and crop. I suggest when you save choose "save as">jpeg and use another name to not eliminate the original. Windows XP required an additional program to edit photos, I believe.
