 Re: Brood Cock
Nice looking bird. I have a question and can't get a sensible answer. I've looked over the Thai standard and watched a bushel of videos of "Thai" birds- even from Thailand.
Can somebody tell me what "pure" Thai is and looks like?

 Re: Brood Cock
Thanks everyone for your input. Its nice to know what others thinks before start breeding them. Well Im not sure if hes pure but hes from a thai line from my cusin. He 12month right now and hes almost 6lb so Im sure hes not cross wit Ganoi. For as pure thai goes, Im just as cueless as you are bro. Now a days there not too many pure of anything out there wit all these cross bred. Sorrie not much of a help.

Can somebody tell me what "pure" Thai is and looks like? I've looked at the gallery on Ganoi.com and can't tell a thai from a brazilian and some shamo too. They are all just too related. Asils stand out but sometimes birds listed as asil look shamo. Ganoi vary too. I can only tell the birds on my own yard because I know their breeding. Don't dwell on the word "pure" to much. You might as well be searching for Shangri-La.

 Re: Brood Cock
I feel you. They all look the same pretty much. Well from my point of view shamo, malay, and brazilian are some big bird. They usualy weight over 8 pound or more anything less than that they are mutt. And Thai are usualy around 6-8 top. As far as pure goes thatz a tuff one cuz all oriental are cross along the line somehow, thatz my opinion. The only way I tell them apart is by looking at the comb, feet, weight and overall size. like shamo, brazilian, and malay very big and tall, Ganoi big but not too tall and stocky and usually the scale on the feet stick out like some armor. I hope that will help you a bit but sorrie Im not a exper in this feld.
