JRHbull, I havnt messured one but I think 32" square sounds about right. The Philipino drop outs I think are 36" on the bottom and 24" on top. But I havnt measure one of them.

Mine are 20 inch high & 23 inch square. Perfect for a short fat man like me. Them phillipino pens to tall for me. I also have several 2 foot square ones around the yard for temp holding pens while rotating fowl or any thing temp. I use 1x2 gal. wire, hog rings, or cage clips. Always nice to have a few handy for my one man operation.

To drop out your cocks during a show. Thats why they are colapsable and portable. People use them for alot of reasons but that is why they were made. Hence the name drop outs.

ballyboy ,

as bama has mentioned they can be a pain if you are too short .... they are difficult for some to reach into ....... thats how i came about mine , the fella that bought them physically couldnt use them !!
they are not difficult to make , especially the old style square drop outs , which are still a great design ......
