The Brazilian is a breed originally produced by Aseels, Shamos and a little bit of Bankiva Spanish blood, to produce an medium-round bird. There is still a lot of variation within the breed, some favouring the Thai and some the Shamo blood.

There are also pure Shamo for show or crosses in Brazil – so there is a distinction between GALO DE BRIGA and a Shamo from Brazil.
