An eye worm is a parasite that lodges in the corner of a chickens eye. It is carried by many different insects like cockroaches, flies, and mosquitos. If left untreated, it can result in the loss of the infected eye.

Symptoms

  • Swollen eye. (can include matting of the eye)
  • Constant scratching of the eye.
  • Cloudy discoloration of the eye.


Treatments

  • 2-3 drops of ivomec in the eye daily until the worms are gone.
