Thai fighting cocks are well known throughout the Asian region for their beauty and fighting skills. They originated in South East Asia, developing from the Red Jungle Fowl, which are present in Thailand, Myanmar,Indochina, and the Philippines.
There are two major types of Thai Gamefowl. They are the Leung Hang Khan and the Pradu Hang Dam. Physical features are generally the same with these birds with the exception of color and the Pradu being slightly larger. Leung Hang Khan refers to the fowl with the yellow to white feathers in the tail and the Pradu Hang Dam refers to the completely black tail feathering.
